Attestation of a declaration made by a person and when they made it.
Certificate of attendance
The notary is requested to appear in a place and bear witness to the state of a certain asset at a specific time, with the possibility of taking photographs of it, if necessary.

The notary is asked to claim something or to carry out a specific action, putting it on record as well as the response of the party to whom the request is made.
Shareholder Meeting minutes
Putting on record the representations, claims, documents and decisions taken at a company Shareholders Meeting.
Certificate setting out General Conditions
The notary includes in the deed those contractual conditions that a company includes in its agreements. That way, it is possible to accredit to third parties which conditions are in force at a certain time.
Balance establishment certificates
By making the necessary calculations, the notary accredits the resulting balance of a specific account or debt.
Tender affidavits
These are possibly the most common type. Through the presence of a Notary Public in an insolvency situation, it can be accredited that there were no irregularities in the tender results and as the case may be, the random nature of the decision.
Record keeping affidavits
These are affidavits in which the Notary Public enters into his/her record, the contents of which are secret and cannot be published, any legal and legitimate documents that the interested party wishes to be entered into record.
Website authentication affidavits
A website authentication affidavit is a notarial document in which the Notary Public records the status of a website at a specific point in time.
This notarial document has full evidentiary effects in extrajudicial and judicial proceedings.
To sign a website affidavit, the following documents are required:
- Document identifying the person who will sign the affidavit and, as applicable, the company they represent.

WhatsApp check affidavits
The WhatsApp check affidavit enables the notarial accreditation of a conversation held on WhatsApp by several people.
This affidavit is a notarial document with full evidentiary effects in extrajudicial and judicial proceedings.
To grant a WhatsApp check affidavit, the following documents are required:
- Document identifying the person who will sign the affidavit and, as applicable, the company they represent.
- The WhatsApp conversation must be shown to the Notary Public.

Affidavit of deposit
The notarial affidavit of deposit accredits that an object has been delivered to a Notary Public. The deposited object will be the one recorded in the affidavit and it will be returned in the established manner and time.
The most common notarial deposit is the depositing of cash as part of a sale or a purchase, or there may be another cause, such as settling a dispute.
The following documents are required to make a notarial deposit:

Notarial earnest money deposit affidavit in a sale-purchase transaction
This type of affidavit accredits that the future buyer of a property has deposited with the Notary Public the earnest money of the future sale, thus allowing the Notary Public to deliver the money to the seller when the deed of sale is signed.
The aim is to avoid risks for the buyer, as the earnest money is delivered to the Notary Public and not to the future seller.
The following documents are required to sign a notarial earnest money deposit affidavit:
- Document identifying the person who will sign the affidavit and, as applicable, the company they represent.
- Delivery of the money to the Notary Public when the affidavit is signed.

Failure to appear affidavit
A failure to appear affidavit accredits that a person has not appeared at the Notary’s Office when they were obliged to do so, either to sign a document or because they had received a summons.

- Document identifying the person who will sign the affidavit and, as applicable, the company they represent.
- Identification of the person who has failed to appear and the reasons why they were obliged to appear.

Signature authentication affidavit that generates effects in other countries (Notarial Regulations Article 207)
The affidavit of Article 207 of the Notarial Regulations permits the authentication of a signature on a foreign document which, pursuant to Spanish law, must circulate as a public deed in Spain and as an authentication, according to foreign law.
Consequently, this document may be used in a country whose legislation requires the documentary form of a notarial authentication and the laws of both countries can be complied with.

Affidavit of notification
An affidavit of notification makes it possible to record on a public document that a notification has been sent to a person through notarised channels.
On occasions, the law requires a notarial affidavit to produce certain legal effects.
Depending on each case, the notification can be sent by the Notary Public in person or by registered post with acknowledgement of receipt.
The following documents are required to sign a notarial affidavit of notification:
- Document identifying the person who will sign the affidavit and, as applicable, the company they represent.
- Identification data and address of the person who must be notified.
- Content of the notification that is to be sent.

Act of notoriety
An act of notoriety makes it possible to accredit, through notarised channels, a notorious event in order for it to be considered true. The notoriety of an event in a notarial document permits the effects established by law for that event to take place.
One common method in Inheritance Law is the act of notoriety of intestate heirs, which accredits the identity of the heirs of a deceased person who has not made a will.
The following documents are required to sign a notoriety act:
- Document identifying the person who will sign the deed.
- Record of the notoriety of the events. The proof that the event is notorious will depend on each case, but it is necessary for the event to be proven.

Affidavit of ownership of a vehicle
This document makes it possible for a person to accredit, by notoriety, the ownership of a vehicle, in order to get the owner of the vehicle to be recorded as such by the Directorate-National for Traffic.
It is normally used to regulate ownership of a vehicle when it was purchased for some time and the purchase was not duly registered.
- Document identifying the owner of the vehicle, who will be the person that has to sign the document.
- Identification of the vehicle whose situation must be regularised.
- Documents accrediting ownership of the vehicle.
